My Services
I specialise in knife and tool sharpening and restoration.
KNIVES & TOOLS
For standard sharp implements I use belt sanders, and a series of different stropping wheels and belts to produce razor sharp results. I will swap to wet stones and cooled grinders where I need to depending on products and requirements.
SCISSORS
I work with scissors, but am not geared currently to work with professional grooming scissors or clippers - however, this will soon be added to my list of services.

Knives
All manner of knives are dealt with by Edge Medic. From general sharpening, to touch ups, fixing chipped plades, or thinning, restorations and clean ups. Most simple sharpening can take a matter of minutes from dull to razor sharp. Chips, reprofiling, thinning, re-scalloping, or using wet stones for chef knives will invariably take longer but is still very quick.

Garden Tools
I will deal with a wide and growing range of tools - from general maintenance, to fixing damage, reprofile, to restoration. Smaller projects can take as little as couple minutes - larger restoration and clean ups my take 30 minutes or more depending on what is required.

Scissors
I will sharpen on simple use scissors and also fabric scissors - process can take a matter of minutes but sometimes longer if taking apart for restoration and clean.
NOTE: I am not geared up currently to work with grooming scissors or clippers - but watch this space as will be soon.

Where to find me
I am based in Staveley, near Kendal, in the South Lake District area.
I offer free collection and drop off to my workshop and I operate as a mobile service in the local areas, allowing me to come to you. You can also find me at local markets and festivals.
